PERHAPS MORE THAN ANY OTHER CAPABILITY, ANALYSIS AND MODELLING ARE SCARLATTI'S POINTS OF DIFFERENCE. WITHIN THESE BROAD AREAS OF STRENGTH, PARTICULAR FOCUSES ARE:
Return on investment modelling
Scarlatti works with employers, government, and industry investors to quantify the returns that they receive from investment in social interventions, such as training for staff members or initiatives to attract talent. Scarlatti has developed a variety of analytical techniques to provide quantitative estimates of the return on investment that social interventions provide. Examples of our work include: BCITO - Returns from Training and New Zealand Young Farmers - Returns from talent attraction.
Scarlatti works with industry organisations, government agencies and training providers to develop detailed understanding and insights about workforces that these organisations work with. Scarlatti uses the Integrated Data Infrastructure and other tools to develop a wide range of workforce analytics, and present these using dashboards and reports. Examples of our work include: Women in Trades Initiative - Baseline for women's participation in trades and DairyNZ - Talent flows into the dairy farming sector.
Social policy analytics
Scarlatti works with government agencies, charities, non-governmental organisations, and others to develop insights about social policies and groups of people that they work with. Our work in this area may involve identifying relationships between social and demographic factors, and the outcomes that the agencies are seeking to change, and/or evaluating the impact of specific interventions. Example of our work include: DairyNZ - Farmer wellness.
Workforce demand forecasting
Scarlatti works with industry organisations, government agencies and training providers to develop models of future workforce requirements, and appropriate responses. Scarlatti’s forward-looking models evaluate both the workforce requirements and the ‘attract, grow and retain’ interventions required to build this capability. Example of our work include: GrowingNZ - Monitoring human capability targets.
