Management of research & technology ventures
Scarlatti uses its networks, experience and analytical skills to manage
businesses, business units and projects on behalf of its clients. We conduct
feasibility studies into potential technology investments and we help our
clients develop and manage their research, development and technology transfer
(RDT) capability.
- Commercial, operational & project management
- Scarlatti provides a broad skill-set and significant
experience managing businesses, business units and specific projects. Our
skills are particularly suited to managing early-stage companies, or companies
requiring an experienced change-agent. Our clients are often investors in young
technology ventures that need a high level of capability but do not want to
employ permanent staff, or larger organisations seeking specialist project
management capability. We typically operate in areas where Scarlatti's strength
in analysis can play a useful role.
- Feasibility studies - Scarlatti conducts comprehensive
feasibility studies into potential technology ventures and investments. Our
studies typically include a thorough cost-benefit analysis, identification and
assessment of technology options, funding approaches and governance
arrangements along with clear and reasoned conclusions and recommendations.
Where appropriate, these will be supported by robust analytical and/or economic
modelling.
- Research capability planning - Scarlatti
works with a range of research organisations, tertiary institutions and
business incubators to help develop and manage research, development and
technology transfer (RDT) capability. Our work in this area is quite diverse,
ranging from strategic planning to portfolio tracking.
